School of the World

The School of the World began as an option for studying Spanish near the beach in Costa Rica (most of the language schools are located in or around the capital city which is in the center of the country).

The school’s Spanish courses incorporate international Spanish teaching guidelines with Costa Rica’s local variations of the language. Surf programs are offered that start every week – programs for all levels including guide and transportation for advanced surfers. Due to that the Playa Jaco area is well known for great waves and warm water year round, it is only natural that many come here to learn how to surf. Catering to both first-time and advanced surfers the School of the World quickly became one of the premier surf schools in Costa Rica.
