Former U.S. President Sets Sights For Costa Rica

Costa Rica Bill ClintonAs one of the most memorable President’s of the United States , (and not always for his politics and policies), former President Bill Clinton will be the keynote speaker at the annual Sustainability and Environment Business Forum to be held on May 9, 2012 in Escazu. Costa Rica.

Following in his former Vice-President’s footsteps, Al Gore, Mr. Clinton will be the keynote speak at the forum which will address sustainability development across the world. Former President Clinton will speak at the closing of the event which has been scheduled for May 8th and 9th, with the former President making his appearance on May 9th at the Hotel Real Intercontinental in Escazu, Costa Rica.

During the same event last year, former Vice-President Al Gore extended his popular documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”, addressing the impact of the release of carbon-based emissions into the atmosphere. During his address, he praised Costa Ricans for having the right attitude when it comes to the environment. He stated that the rest of the world had a vision of what Costa Rica was about which including its pursuit of peace, prioritization of education and health over war and violence, and most importantly, Costa Rica’s commitment to strive to improve its sustainability.

As the keynote speaker at this year’s event, President Clinton will no doubt continue Mr. Gore’s message. Continuing his life of public service, President Clinton established the William J. Clinton Foundation over 10 years ago with a focus to “turn good intentions into measurable results”. The foundation, http://www.clintonfoundation.org has focussed on improving global health, promote better health for children worldwide, strengthen the economies of the world and protect the environment by creating partnerships between governments, businesses and other organizations.

Bill Clinton Popular Choice For Sustainability

As one of the most popular Presidents, Mr. Clinton left political office with the highest approval rating despite some of his transgressions. Since leaving office, the former President has been involved in humanitarian and philanthropic work worldwide. His involvement with global warming and the prevention of AIDS have been two of the many causes championed by the former President.
