Several fishing boat teams took part in the extravaganza with the Sea Angel winning by a fish, literally. Running fin in fin team Sea Angel caught their 18 sailfish just ahead of team Zara, who also had 18 sails but caught their last sail after Sea Angel. In third place was Dragin Fly with a total of 17 sails.

The 3 day event was a success with a total of 136 sails released. The first two days were extremely successful for the Sea Angel team who only required two fish on the third day to capture the title. In addition to the bill fish competition, the Anglers division was won by Hansel Mendez, with Hugo Angulo coming in second and Cliff Mountain in third place. – brought to you by CostaRicaCLOSEUP.com
