It appears from preliminary reports, Justin Johnston and his friends snuck out of their hotel at night and on their way back to their accommodations they passed a property and startled some guard dogs. The barking attracted the security guard on the property who fired a warning shot into the air causing the young men to run. The rest of the details are being investigated, including the un-registered gun which was used to shoot the young man.
