The Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal http://springscostarica.com a one of a kind Costa Rica resort which was recently host to an episode of the hit reality show, The Bachelor http://abc.go.com/shows/the-bachelor episode which was filmed at this Costa Rica resort and aired on February 7th,2011.

The episode, as part of the reality show featured a special group date at the steamy hotsprings of the hotel, with the resort’s riverfront and rainforest preserve as the captivating backdrop for some of the deciding dates with the Bachelor, Brad Womack. The resort’s dining facilities were host to romantic dinners and intimate discussions on life and relationships, all in hope of Brad’s desire to pick the  right one. This Costa Rica resort was the ideal setting to make some important relationship decisions.

Perched 1000 feet above the Arenal Valley and only six kilometers north of the active Arenal Volcano, this Bachelor episode was as explosive as the volcanic activity of the nearby Arenal volcano. Brad Womack, the return Bachelor said goodbye to not one, but two candidates, Alli and Jackie while dealing with the constant barrage and explosiveness of Michelle.

Since opening in 2008, the world-class Springs Resort and Spa has become an icon in Costa Rica’s luxury resort industry. Each guestroom provides picture-perfect views of the Areal Volcano and the surrounding countryside. On the property are eighteen freeform landscaped pools providing great views of the volcano.  The hot mineral springs are high in bicarbonate with low sulfur content with temperatures ranging from 83 degrees fherenheit to 103 degrees fherenheit, so guests can enjoy the perfect pool for their mood and current weather conditions. The Lagoons, located at the base of the reception building, are two acres filled with lush landscaping and tiered sun and shade terraces surrounding  12 pools.

The Lost Springs, or Perdido Springs is a connected system of trails with seven spring fed pools in a forest canyon. A trail to these hot and cold springs called Heliconia Walk is lined with flowers, rain forest trees and vines. A water flume called the Monkey Slide and a center jungle bar called Los Peridodos provide enjoyment and liquid refreshment as you relax in the natural springs.

Dining at The Springs has options, with four on-site restaurants and five bars, so that guests can enjoy a wide range of offerings from fine dining to sushi to poolside munchies. The only decision you need to make is what is it that you feel like eating and the rest is up to The Springs.

The Bachelor is a primetime reality series where one lucky man is offered the chance to find his true love. His journey is filled with romance, adventure and heartache in his search to find the right companion to who he may propose.
